SWM Yachts attended the Superyacht Technology Network 2022 in Barcelona where the team caught up with some of the latest trends in technology within the superyacht industry.
Highlights included talks from Feadship and Lürssen on alternative fuels, greener construction methods and green propulsion. Both of the major shipyards are promising an update of their fleets and to produce greener yachts.
We saw an update on Feadship concept Slice which will be future-proofed to operate on both HVO (hydrogenated vegetable oil) and methanol, and Lürssen’s methanol powered superyacht concept Project Alice.
The team also caught up on some of the great software that goes into yacht and crew management systems, LIDAR systems for charting remote anchorages, luxury audio systems, yacht designers, and cyber security techniques for the sector among plenty of other great products and concepts.
