The Heesen brand was established in 1978 in Oss, Holland, and specialises in creating unique superyachts up to 230 feet (70 metres) in length made of steel and aluminium. Heesen has always been committed to pushing the boundaries in design and construction, even though they are currently most well-known for their displacement motor yachts. Frans Heesen, the creator of the yard, first worked in the high-tech plastics sector before transitioning to yachting. His expertise, together with that of the skilled Dutch marine artisans, led to the use of aluminium in the construction of superyachts. Heesen is now setting the standard for attempts to satisfy owner needs for swift yet fuel-efficient large motor yachts by providing superyachts that seamlessly blend speed and style.
